「こんなの持ってきた人、初めてです」と言って看護師さんが驚いたものとは？(English is below)

私は美容にこだわりがあって、普段から人がびっくりするようなお肌の手入れをしている。

そのうちの1つがこれ、アロエ・ベラ。

顔を洗ったあとは必ずちょっと切って内側のゼリー状になったところを顔に塗るんですが、今回の入院ではアロエベラの葉を2枚ほど根元から切って病院に持ってきた。

すると看護師さん、「え？なんですか？これ？アロエですか？」と私に聞く。私は「あ、そうです。アロエベラです。」そう答えると、「こんなの持ってきた人、初めてです！」と言って看護師さんが驚いたものでした。

「どうりでお肌が綺麗なわけだ！」そう言いながらニコニコする彼女。

さすがに回診に来た主治医も驚いた一品です(笑)

で、私が病院に持ってきたアロエはこんな感じ。

本当に切っただけのアロエ。

これで退院までもつはず！

明日は午前10時か10時半から手術です。よく「手術頑張ってね」と言われますが、そう言われるたびに「ありがとう！頑張るね！」とは言うものの、「頑張るのはお医者さんで、私は麻酔で寝かされてるから、まな板の鯉なんだよな…」と心の中で思って笑ってしまいます。

でも相手の優しさや気持ちが伝わるから、嬉しいです。全力で麻酔にかかるように頑張ります！

I’m very particular about beauty, and I do some skincare routines that would surprise most people. One of them is using Aloe Vera.(1st picture)

After washing my face, I always cut a small piece and apply the gel from the inside to my face. For this hospital stay, I cut two Aloe Vera leaves from the base and brought them with me. When a nurse saw them, she asked, “Oh? What’s this? Is it Aloe Vera?” I replied, “Yes, it’s Aloe Vera.” She laughed and said, “You’re the first person to bring something like this!” When I told her I use it for my skincare, she smiled and said, “No wonder your skin is so beautiful!”

So, this is the Aloe Vera I brought to the hospital.(2nd picture)

Just plain Aloe, freshly cut. It should last me until I’m discharged!

Tomorrow, I have surgery scheduled for around 10 or 10:30 AM. People often say, “Good luck with the surgery!” and while I always reply with “Thank you! I’ll do my best!” I also think to myself, “It’s really the doctors who need to do their best. I’ll just be put to sleep with anesthesia like a fish on the chopping board...” and it makes me chuckle. But I’m still grateful for their kindness and care. I’ll do my best to fully surrender to the anesthesia!
